Bridging the Gap from Hospital to Home Therapy Success
Brenda raised two boys then decided to full fill an item on her bucket list. That is when she went to school and became an R.N four years ago. Altoona Nursing was her first job right out of school. She told me that when she was nine years old her grandmother asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, her answer was a nurse. Years later that dream come true. Brenda has two sons, two daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her eldest son and she enjoy cooking and watching movies. Her youngest son and her work on cars together. Brenda likes helping people and plans on staying here until she retires.
Richard was admitted to our facility with the goal of getting strong enough to walk and talk again. Along his journey to recovery, he worked closely with speech and physical therapy to help him achieve his goals. Richard also had the support of his family and friends. Most importantly he has is wife Donna cheering him on every day which gave him the motivation to reach his ultimate goal. He is now able to continue his full recovery care at home. Richard was very excited to be able to return home. His son was extremely pleased with his care here he stated: “please pass my deepest thanks on to all staff that attended my father’s needs with great care and love”.
