Bridging the Gap From Hospital to Home: Therapy Success

Gary came to Altoona Nursing and Rehabilitation for a short term rehabilitation stay after having knee replacement surgery. While working with Blake and the Therapy Team, participating in Occupational and Physical Therapies, Gary worked hard on his upper body to build his strength. While working on his upper body strength, he was also working to rehabilitate his new knee joint and slowly began walking. With Gary’s dedication and hard work, he was successful in achieving his therapy goals to get home! Along with his recovery, he made a good friend who supported him and was a great roommate. Gary feels his stay at Altoona Nursing and Rehabilitation after his surgery was the key to his successful transition from his hospital stay to home!
