September brings cooler weather, warm sweaters, colorful leaves, and the unavoidable flu bug. To help you prepare for the flu here are a few helpful preventions. Always wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer. Make sure to cough and sneeze into a tissue or your elbow if no tissue is available. Most importantly get your flu shot. Flu shots should be available late September at your local doctor’s office. Also, smile often. Smiling can help boost your immune system.
A consent form for residents will need to be signed before they are able to receive the flu shot. The flu shot will also be available for staff members in late September.
