In the Know with Nursing

Slips, Trips, and Falls is what January will be bringing. With all the snow and ice on its way, it’s time to take precautions to keep safe. No one wants a visit to the emergency room. Make sure to use salt on your sidewalks, steps, and driveways. Wear slip-resistant footwear outside. Be cautious about getting out of your car as it may be on ice. Bend your knees a little and take slow short steps when walking. To keep your balance on ice you may need to use your arms and put them straight out to the side it will keep you more stable. Always wipe your feet off when entering a building on the rugs or mats they have available before you step on to the tile or wood floors. Have a safe winter.
